补办护照：
发现自己遗失了护照，不要担心，首先需要到警察局申报遗失，拿到一张警察局的statement，这个是必须的！拿着警察局的statement，3张护照照片，最好还有旧护照的复印件（可有可无，但是有的话会办得快一些），就可以到中国大使馆办理补办手续了。一般需要3个星期左右。
补办签证：
拿到新补办的护照以后，就需要去Home Office办理补签证的手续。补办签证没有申请续签那么复杂，你需要带上护照，警察局的statement，到Home Office向门口的守卫说明情况即可。不是伦敦的首先需要打电话预约一下。
拿到新的护照之后，就要再向home office 申请把签证转到新的护照上去，费用是160镑。 需要的材料是2张护照照片，一份申请表格，第一本护照的签证复印件，警局注册单原件，警局报失单原件以及你的新护照。申请表格在home office的网站上可以下载，类型是TOC。
